Our local newspaper is full of cars for sale by owner. It seems that either no one is getting a good deal at the secondhand car lots or they just think that they can sell their cars themselves at a better price and in a shorter amount of time. You can have a look yourself, almost every single ad starts or ends with “car for sale by owner”. In addition, it seems that many people in our town want to get rid of their car at this point in time for some reason. I do not think that I have ever seen this many advertisements for secondhand cars in the paper before. Week after week, the section on secondhand vehicles just gets bigger and bigger. Many households are scaling down from two cars to one and many younger people are selling their cars in favor of using public transport now.
